Advanced Learning (Honours/Advanced Placement) At École Cariboo Hill Secondary

General Information
The Advanced Learning opportunities at École Cariboo Hill consists of Honours classes grade 8-11 and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Advanced Placement is a program of university/college level courses and exams for high school students. For students who successfully complete external AP exams (with a score of 4 or 5 out of a 5 point scale), they may, receive up to six credit hours and given higher placement in course work at the post secondary institution. Pre AP Honours courses offer advanced and motivated students the opportunity to learn in an enriched environment. Grade 11 Honours courses, in particular, help prepare students who intend to take AP courses at the Grade 12 level. It is, however, not necessary for a student to have taken the Honours thread to be in an AP course in their grade 12 year.

Please note that École Cariboo Hill only offers AP exams to students who are enrolled at our school. We are not a testing facility for students from out of district or in other district schools. If you are interested in becoming a Cariboo Hill Student, please inquire at our front office.
